Beşiktaş has signed goalkeeper Tolga Zengin with a four-year deal from Trabzonspor on July 24.

The Black Eagles have agreed to pay Trabzonspor 2.75 million euros for its captain. Zengin will be paid 1.3 million euros a year and 10,000 euros per appearance.

Tolga has been one of Trabzonspor’s key players in the last three seasons, and has been awarded the captain’s armband.

The 29-year-old goalkeeper is known for his commitment to Trabzonspor, the club where he started his professional career, and he reportedly asked to be transferred to be close to his mother, who has been undergoing cancer treatment in Istanbul.

“I will never forget you,” Tolga told Trabzonspor fans on his personal Twitter account. “May Allah permit it, I would like to play for Trabzonspor again, return to you beautiful people. But now a new adventure starts for me.”
