BiTaksi app expands to Ankara

The BiTaksi app connects customers with the nearest available taxi.

BiTaksi, a popular app in Istanbul, has now become available in the Turkish capital Ankara.

The app, which connects customers with the nearest available taxi, began operating in Istanbul last year and now has 650,000 downloads.

Aside from cash payments, BiTaksi also offers credit card payments and has 5,000
registered active taxi drivers in Istanbul.

With 750 drivers already registered in Ankara, the app appears to have been received positively in the capital.

For the first week, customers paying by credit card will get free rides for up to 20 Turkish Liras or a discount of 20 liras for more expensive rides. Each customer can use this discount once a day.
