Bibliopole aficionados to gather in Beyoğlu

Istanbul’s Beyoğlu Municipality will bring book collectors and rare book dealers together at the sixth Beyoğlu Bibliopole Festival between Sept. 25 and Oct. 14.
Istanbul’s Beyoğlu Municipality will bring book collectors and rare book dealers together at the sixth Beyoğlu Bibliopole Festival between Sept. 25 and Oct. 14.As last year, the festival will be held in Tepebaşı, in Istanbul’s Beyoğlu district, with a total of 65 booksellers taking part. Old books, magazines, photos, films, theater posters, letters, postcards and special collections will be exhibited and sold at the festival. The festival will also feature other activities such as auctions. “Our festival draws great attention and allows readers to meet bibliopoles. We have enriched our program and we are going to hold literary conversations with renowned writers and poets,” Beyoğlu Mayor Ahmet Misbah Demircan said.
“Writers will be able to meet their readers at a meaningful venue. We are waiting for everyone at our festival, which will host many activities,” Demircan said.
