Green Bay remained undefeated and moved to 11-0 for the first time in club history, beating Detroit 27-15 in one of three American Thanksgiving Day games on Thursday.

“In the second half, we started running some regular offense and just kind of got things going,” Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said.

Green Bay further solidified their lead on the NFC North as they now have a four-game cushion over the Lions (7-4) and a 3 1/2-game lead over Chicago.

Rodgers tossed two touchdown passes for the defending Super Bowl champion Packers who built a big lead in the third quarter. Green Bay has also won a team record 17 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Rogers was 22 of 32 for 307 yards with two touchdown passes. He had a three-yard pass to Greg Jennings with 4:51 left in the second quarter to make it 7-0 and a 65-yard pass to James Jones in the third for a 21-0 lead.

Detroit dropped to 7-4 as they lost a franchise-record eighth consecutive Thanksgiving Day contest.

The Lions got on the board when Keiland Williams ran for a 16-yard touchdown with just over 13 minutes left. They added a two-point conversion pass from quarterback Matthew Stafford to Titus Young. The Lions also scored with 11 seconds left in the fourth but the game was out of reach by that point.

Stafford was 32 of 45 for 276 yards with the touchdown in the final seconds. He also had three interceptions, getting picked off by Charles Woodson, Clay Matthews and Robert Francois.

The New England Patriots won 18 consecutive games during the 2007 season but lost to the New York Giants in the Super Bowl.

The Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints were the last teams to start a season 11-0, pulling off the feat two years ago.

The holiday weekend also kicked off with two other Thanksgiving games, including the Dallas Cowboys 20-19 win over the Miami Dolphins.

Dan Bailey booted a 28-yard field goal as time ran out, giving the Cowboys their fourth-straight win and sole possession of first place in the NFC East.

In the late game, the Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh may have earned bragging rights but he also played the role of a proud big brother after he topped Jim Harbaugh and the San Francisco 49ers 16-6 in the first NFL game featuring brothers as opposing head coaches.
