Armed Forces confiscate deodorant, shampoo, DVD players from PKK members

Turkey’s military has seized deodorant, shampoo, DVD players and other items from members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) during a recent operation in the Altın Mountains between Hakkari and Şırnak in Southeast Anatolia, the Chief of General Staff said in a statement Nov. 4.
 
Turkish Armed Forces have taken over caves and shelters around the Altın Mountains that were being used by the militants, the statement said.
 
Searches resulted in the confiscation of heavy weaponry, including Kalashnikovs, equipment for mortar bombs, rifles, ammunition, MP-5 guns, bomb setups, TNT and C-4 explosives.
 
Barrels filled with gasoline, heaters, axes, chainsaws, tents, blankets, gas lamps and kitchen equipment were also found among the confiscated items.
 
Technological items such as mobile phones, portable DVD players, flashdisks and batteries were also listed by the Forces, as well as personal items like deodorant and shampoo.
