Apparat will take the stage at club Babylon tonight. The concert starts at 11 p.m., and tickets are available at Biletix booths and the club’s main booth. Sascha Ring’s band project, Apparat, is a familiar name to electronic music enthusiasts. The owner of the Shitkatapult record label, German producer Ring combines techno with ambient music. His extraordinary style and powerful live performances have attracted a large group of fans. Ring’s first major public appearance was on John Peel Session in 2004; later, he released his first EP. Apparat largely contributed to Ellen Allien’s “Berlinette” album in 2003 and they jointly released “Orchestra of Bubbles” in 2006. In 2009, Apparat combined forces with the famous French electro duo Modeselektor and formed a new band called “Moderat,” releasing a self-titled album via record label BPitch Control. With the great success of Moderat, the band began to perform in prestigious clubs and festivals. Apparat won the Qwartz Dancefloor award in 2009 and released a DJ-Kicks album through label !K7 the same year.
