The Turkish State Railways’ (TCDD) Build-Operate-Transfer model Ankara high-speed train station project is slated to be tendered on July 17, according to Reuters.

According to the tender announcement in yesterday’s Official Gazette, the initial guarantee payment is set at $1.5 million.

The tender has already been postponed twice since the initial tender date on Jan. 20, 2011. This is because of demands by investors regarding the tender specification that the metro line run under the proposed station, which lead to additional plans to accommodate these technical details.

Local companies can participate in the tender on their own, or can form a joint venture with foreign companies licensed to operate in Turkey. The company that proposes the shortest construction and operation time will be awarded the tender. The project duration will include the two-year investment period.
