Amsterdam Sinfonietta and Sol Gabetta tonight at Hagia Irene Museum

Amsterdam Sinfonietta regularly gives concerts with distinguished soloists in major halls around the world. Tonight they join the rising star of cello Sol Gabetta for the Turkey premiere of the latest opus of the eminent Latvian composer Peteris Vasks. They will be performing pieces by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Vasks and Ernst Bloch. The Amsterdam Sinfonietta is a versatile group that holds concerts every New Year’s with different artists such as Bobby McFerrin, Roby Lakatos and Chick Corea. Gabetta, who won the 2009 ECHO Classical Artists of the Year Award, will join to the group. The concert will be held at Hagia Irene at 8 p.m.
