Akbank chair receives ‘medal of excellence’

Akbank Chairwoman Suzan Sabancı Dinçer has been decorated with the title Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE).

British Ambassador to Turkey David Reddaway presented the medal of excellence to Dinçer for her outstanding contributions to Turkish-United Kingdom relations.

She played a key role in the establishment of Turkish-British CEO Forum, according to Reddaway.

Dinçer remarked that Turkey and the U.K. had close relations and common approaches on several international issues, adding that Sabancı Dinçer attached great importance to the U.K.
