Akbank Art is hosting a screening of Dutch master filmmaker Jos Stelling’s 1986 film “The Pointsman” on July 21. The screening is at 5:30 p.m. and entrance is free of charge. The film is about a man who lives at a desolate train station, far away from the big city and who has little to do besides keep an eye on the points and occasionally receive visits from the postman. Then a woman accidently gets of the train. She spends a whole year on the pointsman’s lonely island of life, which leads to many strange developments. The movie will be screened in its original language of Dutch with Turkish subtitles. The film lasts about 95 minutes.
