Turkish Airlines, the national flag carrier, received three awards in a ceremony held at the British House of Lords on Nov. 9.

The awards were presented to Turkish Airlines (THY) by the “Asian Guild,” an organization established by Asians contributing to the economic and cultural life of Britain.

During the ceremony, THY was given the “Best Airlines in Europe in 2011” award for their services to India.

In addition, THY Director General Temel Kotil and Marketing and Sales Director Sezgin Sağlam received friendship awards.

The Turkish carrier currently flies to New Delhi and Bombay from Birmingham and the company is making plans to have daily flights to 6 destinations in India soon.
