63 more militants ‘neutralized’ in Turkey’s Afrin operation

ANKARA – Anadolu Agency

At least 63 more militants have been “neutralized” in Turkey’s “Operation Olive Branch” in Syria, the Turkish General Staff said on Jan. 31.

So far, “712 terrorists have been neutralized since the beginning of the operation,” the military said in a statement.

“Neutralized” is a term used by the Turkish military and officials to indicate militants were either killed, wounded or captured.

The statement added that the Turkish Armed Forces had destroyed 22 targets in airstrikes that were carried out overnight.

According to the Turkish General Staff, the operation aims to establish security and stability in the region and clean of Turkey’s borders from the People’s Protection Units (YPG).
