Diyarbakır deputy Altan Tan of the Kurdish issue-focused Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) claimed yesterday that Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu was going to be arrested in August by Iraqi authorities in northern Iraq, but he was saved by Kurds."Foreign Minister Davutoğlu was wanted for arrest during his Kirkuk visit by [Prime Minister Nouri] al-Maliki's forces, but Kurds rescued him." he told private Skyturk television.
