All Arts closes with 21,000 visitors, 260 Turkish artists

All Arts fair closed on April 21. Fair attracted total of 21,000 visitors.
The All Arts Fair ended last night after being visited by 21,000 people over four days. The fair, which opened on April 18, hosted collectors and artists from abroad and Turkey. A total of 50 million Turkish Liras worth of artworks were exhibited, 880 works by 260 artists. A total of 140 attendants were at the fair. Among the special collections the Papko/Öner Kocabeyoğlu collection attracted attention.The fair was presented in several sections; the first section, Classical Turkish Arts, offered traditional works of art including calligraphy, miniatures, gilding, marbling, binding and tiles, while featuring 92 artists in 12 different categories. The second section, Antiques, showcased painting, china, ephemera, jewelry, carpets and numismatic objects (coins). In the third section, participants including Galeri Selvin, Galeri Baraz and Galeri Artist displayed modern and contemporary art. Ultimately, the fair – the first of its kind in Turkey or the region – presented a broad range of works spanning the antique to the modern. The conference program included a talk on Ottoman art in the context of early architecture from the famed Sinan.
