Located at the New Adana Museum, which will be Turkey’s largest museum complex on an area of roughly seven hectares when complete, the Archaeology Museum will be open in the coming days, according to a written statement from the Adana Governor’s Office.Established at the former area of the Milli Mensucat Factory, which was opened in 1907, the New Archaeology Museum will include city, industry, ethnography and agriculture museums. The museum’s first phase will be finished in April.
The museum will be home to 18,100 archaeological works, including selected works from the early periods of Çukurova. The museum’s display area will be about four hectares.
Officials believe that the number of tourists will increase in the city when the museum opens.
