It displays real human bodies that have been preserved through his "plastination" process and posed to show off their particular features. The exhibition shows the complexity, resilience and vulnerability of the human body through anatomical studies of the body in distress, disease and optimal health. It includes many human and animal specimens unseen in the United Kingdom, including a full-sized giraffe.

"The human body is the last remaining nature in a manmade environment," von Hagens said. "Body Worlds & The Mirror of Time" takes visitors on a journey of self discovery. It shows the body living through time. It includes a stunning look at conception and "ageing" during pre-natal development. The exhibition will run through Aug. 23.
