75-year-old German tourist found dead in hotel room in Turkey’s Alanya

A 75-year-old German tourist was found dead in the hotel room where he was holidaying in the Alanya resort town of the Mediterranean province of Antalya on May 28, Doğan News Agency has reported.

Manfred Kallen had checked into the hotel in the Mahmutlar neighborhood 15 days ago.

A member of the hotel’s cleaning staff noticed a foul smell coming from Kallen’s room at around 6.30 p.m. and informed the hotel authorities of the situation.

Gendarmerie teams later found Kallen’s lifeless body in the room. He was then transferred to the Antalya forensics institution for an autopsy.
