51 detained in operation on bid-rigging in military

A total of 51 suspects, including 17 active military officers, were detained today as part of an operation on rigging bids of catering for several units of the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK).Istanbul’s Kartal Public Prosecutor demanded an investigation into the issue about a year ago and the Istanbul provincial directorate of the fight against financial crimes started an investigation into several firms.

The teams raided the houses and business places of the civilian suspects early in the morning, while the military prosecutors and military police detained suspected active officers.
