34 arrested in KCK case

A total of 34 people were arrested yesterday in the eastern provinces of Şırnak and Iğdır as part of the operations against the Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK), the alleged urban wing of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).Some 15 separate operations were launched in Şırnak yesterday in which 87 people were detained, with 31 of them arrested.
Also, three people were arrested in Iğdır, including the province’s deputy mayor from the Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Elif Dağgöl. She was among the eight suspects sent to Erzurum Courthouse as part of the KCK operations conducted across Iğdır, Muş, Batman, Tunceli and Van.
