27 companies bid for airport on Black Sea

A total of 27 companies have presented their offers in the tender for the upper-structure construction of Ordu-Giresun airport to be built along the Black Sea coast, including the largest Turkish contractors such as TAV, Limak and Kolin.The planned Ordu-Giresun Airport, which will serve the Ordu and Giresun provinces, will be constructed over a water-filled area and will be the first of its kind in Europe and the fourth of its kind in the world.
While 29 companies took the tender specification folder, 27 of them applied for prequalification.
The government has spent over 165 million TurkishLiras on infrastructure and superstructure investments for the project and the remaining superstructure investments will be undertaken by the winning bidder.
