A 19-year-old boy was killed in Turkey’s Diyarbakır when a grenade he was allegedly about to throw at an unidentified target exploded in his hand.The boy’s identity was revealed as Şahin Öner following an inspection of his body as police forces confiscated more explosives found in his possession.
Öner had previously been convicted of using and carrying Molotov cocktails. Police forces also found gloves at the scene that reportedly belonged to Öner.
Gloves are reportedly often used in making hand grenades, police forces said. The gloves will be investigated further to confirm if they did indeed belong to the suspect.
