HAKKARİ
Seventeen village guards were injured on April 5 when a military vehicle rolled over in the Şemdinli district of the southeastern province of Hakkari, state-run Anadolu Agency reported, citing a security source.
The vehicle was carrying village guards who had joined an operation against the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), said the source speaking anonymously due to restrictions on talking to the media.
The injured village guards were rushed to the Şemdinli State Hospital. One of them was said to be in serious condition.
