10 kittens illegally smuggled from Bulgaria to be auctioned in Turkey's Edirne

Some ten kittens, which were seized after being illegally smuggled into the country from Bulgaria, will be auctioned on Oct. 20 in the border province of Edirne, Doğan News Agency has reported.Anti-smuggling units in Edirne seized 10 Persian and British Shorthair hybrid kittens inside two bags in the truck of a Bulgarian-plated suspicious car after it entered the country from the Hamzabeyli Border Gate.They had been illegally smuggled into the country to be sold in pet shops.
The Edirne Liquidation Authority will auction the kittens for 7,080 Turkish Liras on Oct. 20, the agency said.
