Turkey’s EU minister slams Europe politicians
ISTANBUL - Anatolia News Agency
European Union Minister Egemen Bağış criticized some European politicians saying they had “mental disabilities” and reiterated his stance on defending Turkey’s rights despite them.“Unfortunately we are dealing with some politicians with mental disabilities in Europe. Despite those we are defending Turkey’s rights with determination,” Bağış said in a meeting titled “10,000 Negotiator-Peacemaker-Leader Students,” in Ortaköy. Bağış said negotiation and consensus are parts of Turkish culture. “Negotiation is something in our genetic code,” he said. Insisting that the negotiation process is the most important issue in democracy, Bağış said democracies are based on problem solving culture, not on problem making. It is Turkey’s democracy which makes the country the most powerful in the region, he said.
