Supreme Election Board’s decision on rejecting annulment of referendum final, issue is over: Erdoğan

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said the Turkey’s Supreme Election Board’s (YSK) refusal to annul the April 16 referendum was the final decision on the matter.

“This issue is over,” Erdoğan said.

He also noted that the issue was not within the authority of the Constitutional Court and the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).

YSK rejected all appeals against the result of the vote on April 19 but the opposition vowed to continue the struggle to annul the outcome based on numerous irregularities.
