Russell Crowe enjoys Istanbul in company of Turkish director

Australian Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe took a tour around Beşiktaş this weekend after arriving in Istanbul on May 23 as part of a surprise Turkey visit.Crowe was reportedly accompanied by Turkish director Tolga Örnek, triggering rumors of a future movie project.
The star took a walk in the streets of Beşiktaş after watching the Champions League final between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. Crowe walked from Beşiktaş to Ortaköy and left with his luxurious yacht, which was anchored at the Four Seasons Hotel.
During his Istanbul trip, Crowe also watched a whirling dervish show, a ceremony of the Mathnawi, which is an epic poem written by celebrated Persian Sufi poet Jalaluddin Rumi.
The famous actor came to Istanbul after arriving in the northwestern province of Çanakkale on May 22 with U.S. producer Keith Rodger and Britain’s Dene Jesham.
The famous actor tweeted about his visit, saying, “The Turkish coastline is so beautiful.” He also tweeted: “The sun rising over the Gallipoli peninsula.”
