Rihanna and Bieber come to Istanbul

Pop superstars Rihanna and Justin Bieber have been slated to grace the Istanbul music scene this spring. İnonu Stadium will host Rihanna on May 31, while the venue of Bieber’s concert, set for May 23, has not yet been announced.

Rihanna, whose name has been in recent headlines for a tumultuous relationship and controversial world publicity tour, released her seventh studio album, “Unapologetic,” on Nov. 19, 2012 through Def Jam Records. It was recorded over the course of five months during promotion of her sixth studio album, “Talk That Talk.”

Bieber’s third studio album “Believe,” released on June 15, 2012 with Island Records, marks a musical departure from the teen pop sound of his previous releases, incorporating elements of dance-pop and R&B. Intent to develop a more mature sound, Bieber collaborated with a wide range of producers for the release as well as some long-time collaborators. Rihanna’s concert has been organized through the Pozitif Live and Bieber’s through Purple Concerts.
