Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is set to chair the cabinet meeting on April 20 for the third time since he was elected president in August 2014, Anadolu Agency reported on April 14.After promising to use “all his powers” and serve as a “sweating president,” Erdoğan has already chaired the cabinet twice, in January and March. The moves were regarded by many as direct interventions into the business of Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu’s government.
The agenda of the April 20 cabinet meeting will reportedly be dominated by regional developments, energy policy, foreign policy, and the recently adopted domestic security law that reinforces the power of the security forces.
The meeting will be held at the controversial new presidential palace in Ankara.
