Turkish racer beats F-16 fighter jet on motorbike
Turkish former professional motorcycle champion Kenan Sofuoğlu raced with unusual opponents in Istanbul on Sept. 20, beating all of them, including an F-16 fighter jet. Click through for the story in photos...
Sofuoğlu’s motorcycle faced the Turkish acrobatic flight team Solotürk’s F-16, as well a Challenger 605 business jet, a Formula 1 car, a Tesla PL 1000DL and a Lotus Evora 410, as part of TeknoFest at Istanbul’s third airport.
The motorcycle champion won the race in 9.43 seconds. The Formula 1 car, piloted by Jake Dennis, trailed behind it at 9.39.
