A dye-producing company had approached the Tepe neighborhood of Aydın province’s Kuşadası district as part of its “Let’s Color” campaign.
The project was accepted by the municipality and the volunteers, who live in the district, painted 401 buildings in the first stage.
“Our Turkish and foreign guests will see these colors and their photos will be promoting our town on social media,” Mayor Özer Kayalı said on Oct. 15 at a press conference.
Similar projects were previously made in various parts of Istanbul, Manisa, Hatay and Kastamonu provinces.
