The helicopter, which was operated by Turkish Ground Forces, crashed in a neighborhood in Sancaktepe district for an unknown reason.
Four soldiers were killed while another one was injured in the crash.
Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said during his visit to the scene of the crash that two of the victims were full military officers and the other two were non-commissioned military officers.
According to initial reports, there were no casualties among the neighborhood locals.
