Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen speaks out on the peace process

Self-exiled Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen has spoken out on the peace process, calling on everyone to “find religion as the common ground,” in a speech published on herkul.org, a website known for links to the cleric.Gülen said groups should unite over what they hold in common, “our God, our prophet, our religion,” warning people against ignoring these common points, which would lead them to “disunity.”
He also accused some in Turkey of being “ghouls,” who “have laid siege around the people and pump them with ill intentions” in an attempt to prevent the people “from standing straight.” Gülen described the process as “a rightful process of peace.”
