Adriana Lima ‘dumps’ Turkish boyfriend with stinging social media message
Former Victoria’s Secret top model Adriana Lima has shared a stinging message on social media about “badly raised men” amid rumors that she dumped her Turkish boyfriend whose photos she deleted from her accounts. Click through for the story in photos...
Lima, 37, was photographed while kissing self-styled new age “guru” Metin Hara passionately at the Istanbul Atatürk International Airport on July 10, 2017.
They had later confirmed their relationship after holidaying together in the Turkish resort of Bodrum. The couple also went to Miami for a romantic trip in October 2017.
Lima deleted this week all her photos with Hara from her Instagram account, which is followed by more than 12 million people.
“Ladies, you are not a rehabilitation center for badly raised men. It is not your job to fix him, change him, parent him or raise him. You want a partner, not a project,” Lima said in a message on Instagram Stories.
The 35-year-old Hara, who had written a number of bestsellers in Turkey on self-improvement and positive energy, did not delete Lima’s photos from his own account.
One of Hara’s books was translated into English shortly before his relationship with the Brazilian supermodel began. Some critics had suggested that the relationship was a publicity stunt but it continued for months before the first suggestions of a break-up earlier this year.
In an article headlined “Looks like Adriana Lima is back on the market,” New York Times columnist Richard Johnson had suggested that Lima participated the 90th Oscar ceremony in March 2018 alone because she broke up with Hara.
Lima had then unfollowed Hara on Instagram but she had kept their photos then.
The couple had soon publicly denied the rumors of a break-up by sharing new photos, showing Lima and her family members in Brazil happily hosting Hara at a dinner.
