Activities of 370 associations terminated over terror links: Turkish Interior Ministry

The activities of a total of 370 associations in 39 provinces across Turkey have been terminated over their alleged links to terror organizations, the Interior Ministry announced on Nov. 11.The associations’ activities were terminated by related governor’s offices due to their alleged links to the Fethullahist Terror Organization (FETÖ), the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), the outlawed Revolutionary People’s Liberation Party/Front (DHKP/C) and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), as a part of decree laws under the state of emergency after the July 15 failed coup attempt.
Of the 370 closed associations, 153 were linked to FETÖ, 190 were linked to the PKK, 19 were linked to the DHKP-C, and eight were linked to ISIL, the ministry stated.
It also added that investigations of the closed associations are ongoing, and pledged “determination to fight all kinds of structures, groups and institutions with links to terror organizations.”
