Signs of bitter fighting are on display in Silopi’s shattered homes after the partial lifting of a military-imposed curfew in place in the southeastern district since Dec. 14, 2015. Local civilians have been the biggest victims of clashes in the town between Turkey's security forces and outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants.
