Jeremiah now teaches Maasai youth about the area and traditions in the hope that they will keep practices, which alive. The spread of christianity and modern practices has changed maasai traditions like sacrifice of livestock. Suswa is not on the typical tourist trail and as such has suffered even more after recent insecurity in the country forced many International countries to issue travel advisories against parts of Kenya.
